New Year's Eve 2014 - What's On Guide...

Every year, New Year's Eve becomes a topic of conversation in November, and every year it creeps up real crafty until it’s that week and you have no plans. Sound familiar? Chill your beans, we've made a list of things that haven't sold out (yet) for you to pick from, call it a late Christmas gift from us.

Global Gathering Presents NYE - The Institute, Birmingham

The masters of dance music festivals put on a very suitable line up: RAM’s golden child Wilkinson, reggae veteran David Rodigan, Brighton’s Friction, the massive TC and ever so special guest Jaguar Skills.
This event has sold out four years in a row and a line-up this strong means it definitely will again, so get your Sunday best on and hurry up about it.

South Place Hotel NYE House Party - London

For all you extra classy lot South Place, a new luxury hotel in London (if you haven’t seen/heard this check it out - makes us paupers shed a tear) is holding an extra special new year's eve house party. The hotel itself is absolutely mint and their parties tend to a family affair with hotel guests, dinner guests and all sorts joining in, they've had some amazing DJs and parties there including; Skream, Krystal Klear, Horse Meat Disco, Craig Richards and many more. This year’s party has DJ Andy Smith (Portishead), a live steel brass band in its secret garden (yes, that cool), with their resident Miles Simpson (Thunder), and Ransom Note contributor, Aiden d’Aruajo playing.

Detonate NYE - O2 Academy, Sheffield

Underground music moguls Detonate bring an extra special version of their night to Sheffield for the night. Sub Focus brings his effortless talent, Wilkinson shows off with his second slot for the night and for a bit of extra sauce jungle don Shy FX and garage god DJ EZ also play.
This line-up perfectly fits and guarantees to keep you dancing all night. Plain venue, but who gives a shit when your eyes are shut stomping to that heavy, heavy beat.

Music Is Love NYE - Sankeys, Manchester

Legendary Sankeys hosts one of its most popular club series ‘Music Is Love’ for a special NYE event.  Deep house originator Kerri Chandler plays his beautifully dirty beats alongside massively underrated German techno don Move D (David Moufang). If that’s not enough to tickle your fancy Oli Furness, Liam Geddes, Angus Jefford and many more play. WE LOVE SANKEYS. End of.

S2S Festival Presents - Victoria Warehouse, Manchester

Great venue which last year played house to some phenomenal Warehouse Project parties. This year, legends Dennis Ferrer and Todd Terry play, both incredibly flexible and acclaimed DJ’s whose tracks often feature disco-ey influences (how can you not love them?). The theme continues with Flashmob, one of the most famous house producing duos. If that wasn't enough to make you hand over your cash, there's Low Steppa, Majestic, MistaJam, ShiftK3y, Tough Love and Wideboys are all there aswell!

Whatever you end up doing on Wednesday, Inner City would like to wish you a happy New Year and we hope you have a really boozy good night!!
